OK, I am just going to come right out and ask….
Do you have a plan for your business? Not the one in your head, or in your dreams. But a written plan on where you are taking your business?
When it comes to business plans for small business (or mid sized organizations) the more senior execs and owners I talk with, the more it becomes clear how important having a plan is, and how few actually do it.
I had lunch with the owner of a $10 million dollar a year company. During our discussion, the owner (a friend of mine) adnmitted that he spent more time planning his vacations than he did planning for his business. He also admitted that he has probably limited his company because of it.
Now granted, I wrote a book on business planning for small businesses (check it out on Amazon here – http://goo.gl/qujrn or here Simple Focus Plan). but even that aside, it is truly critical that you have a plan for your business. (You don’t need my book or software to create a business plan – but it may help you do it faster 😉
So, with that said, I am going to be posting some videos about business planning, and some that will blast the myths about business plans.
